Eunice’s Sketchbook – Giggle Art

Eunice’s Sketchbook – Giggle Art

Eunice is a student currently enrolled in my foundation drawing class for animators. Eunice is a blast to have in class. She is always laughing having a good time with her art. Although Eunice is still trying to find her way in first year of college, one thing is for sure, she has definitely improved.

Eunice always does an awesome job with her homework assignments. I’m pretty confident that is what led to her massive improvement

I trust you will enjoy looking through Eunice’s sketchbook. I know I certainly did. I also know you will get a good chuckle at the end of the video.

Sabrina’s Sketchbook

Sabrina’s Sketchbook

Sabrina is a student currently enrolled in my foundation drawing class at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan New York. Sabrina is truly one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. She is truly a joy to have in class.

She is always laughing and smiling. It shows in her work. Her work is very fun to engage with. Her life drawings are big and bold. I love when she draws with a China Marker. Sabrina’s drawings have a ton of motion and energy.

Her sense of color is really cool. I really like how she gives pages in her sketchbook a color theme. Sabrina draws some really interesting shaped characters which is another attribute about her work that I enjoy.

When I check the homework each week Sabrina’s drawings always stand out. I alway gravitate towards her work. She puts a lot of pencil mileage into every sketch she works on.

Thanks so much Sabrina for sharing your sketchbook. Thank you for your fun attitude in class.

Hyoin’s Sketchbook

Hyoin’s Sketchbook

Hyoin is just one of those students who turns everything into gold. Her life drawings are just really beautiful.

Having Hyoin as a student is pretty special. She powers in her life drawings with so much energy and passion. As Hyoin draws she fills most of the 18 x 24 pad which is what I love. There is nothing timid about her work.

The look and feel of her China marker type drawings on newsprint in class is something pretty special.

Her sketchbook takes on a whole different vibe itself with all of the bold color and delicate detailed line.

There is nothing really traditional about Hyoin’s work and that’s what I really like about it. As you can see in her sketchbook she can really turn on the traditional jets when she wants to.

Thanks so much for sharing your sketchbook with us Hyoin. It’s really inspiring!

At this time Hyoin has no social media. She is totally focused on her work.

Rex’s Sketchbook – Lot’s of Pencil Mileage

Rex’s Sketchbook – Lot’s of Pencil Mileage

Rex is a student currently enrolled in my foundation drawing class at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan New York. Rex is from Shanghai China. Her story is pretty unbelievable.

She was a physics major in hight school, not an art major. Considering how good she is at drawing it’s pretty incredible to witness her raw talent. Rex’s sketchbook shows her very raw talent and I thank her very much for sharing it.

Her talent combined her tireless work ethic is a lethal combination for success. During the first couple of classes I had a hard time convincing Rex to draw in a big 18 x 24 drawing pad. She actually said she didn’t want to waste the paper.

That really made me smile. I immediately said Rex please, I will buy you a pad, you have to draw in a big drawing pad during class. She agreed and for the rest of the semester she has really shined.

I hope you enjoyed looking through Rex’s sketchbook. The video was a little shaky but totally worth it.

Thanks for watching!

P.K.’s Sketchbook Drawings

P.K.’s Sketchbook Drawings

P.K. is a really interesting guy. His drawings are really unique. He draws exclusively is pen. He loves to draw strange quirky characters pushing them to there limits.

P.K. has a really interesting story. He asked to join my class mid way through the academic year. He completely missed the Fall semester with my class. The Fall semester is where I really drill the basics into my students. P.K. has really added something dynamic to the classroom. Which is a gift coming in mid way through.

His drawing is quite different than the rest of the class. I love academic style drawings. However I also love variety just as much. I really get inspired when my students apply the academic principles that I teach to their own personal style. P.K. does this with ease.

Originally from Tanzania P.K. found one of my early sketchbook videos on youtube. This inspired him to apply to classes at the School Of Visual Arts in Manhattan New York. That for me is an awesome story.

I am really honored that my vids on youtube inspired P.K. to take action and pursue his dreams of becoming an animation director.

Hopefully P.K.’s sketchbook video will inspire you to take action and pursue your dreams!
