As I relaunch the Drawing Tutorials Online Blog it felt totally appropriate to have Julia’s sketchbook be our first post.
Julia epitomizes what DTO is all about. A passion to have drawing be the center of one’s lifestyle. What do I mean? As you can see Julia loves to draw. Drawing is at the center of her lifestyle.
She is embarking on her journey as a visual artist and drawing is how she is manifesting her vision. From stop motion to jewelry creation every concept is drawn in her sketchbook first.
Julia’s Sketchbook is pretty amazing. Julia is a young multi-talented artist with a bright future ahead of her. It’s students like Julia that inspire me to teach students of all levels.
Grab your sketchbook, turn off your phone and start drawing. You will find yourself more relaxed.
I hope you enjoy looking through her sketchbook.
Julia, what an amazing sketchbook! I agree, you are so talented for being so young. I loved your sharp angle characters, and how you embrace shadows in your work. Hearing the stories you create is wonderful – very inspiring for one who has crossed the 55 year old mark – lol!
Greatings for Julia and You Matt:) Really nice drawings, I hope to be able to drawing as good as Julia:)I have much practise to do..:)
Hi Julia, I really enjoyed your sketchbook! Thank you so much for sharing it, I know that sketchbook are very intimate and personal, but you really have inspired me to draw more. I draw a lot but, I just don’t seem to have the time anymore to draw as much as I would like to. I hope some day I can be as great as you are. Once again thank you.
this is far beyond my capabilities, someday maybe I’ll be this good.
Great work.
